The mission of the Student Resource Center on campus is to provide materials and services to support the educational goals, objectives and academic programs of the college as well as motivate lifelong learning for students, instructors, and staff. The Student Resource Center is designed to help students in the development of an educational plan that is compatible with their academic and life goals as well as to improve their academic performance and offering assistance in a variety of areas, including; study skills, time management and motivation, individual academic needs, workshops on various topics such as time management, note taking, and test taking skills, tutoring With 21st century sophisticated technology, our students need to gain the skills to search for and find information. Precise specifications for modern engines require technicians to locate and apply knowledge of their complex fields. Ohio Tech offers a Student Resource Center designed to address the information needs of all students. The Student Resource Center has a computer lab, print manuals, electronic materials, liberal arts texts, study areas, and comfortable space for recreational reading to support each specific program curriculum. Ohio Tech students may access Alldata and Identifix, two online databases used in technical program courses. The Student Resource Center houses collections of print repair manuals, such as Mitchell and Chilton going back to 1970. The Center has specific collections of books related to each technical program as well as Associate Degree course topics. Staff is available to orient and assist students during regular hours of operation. The Student Resource Center ultimately focuses on the enhancement of student wellness, engagement, retention and completion by supporting our students comprehensively from the initial day of enrollment through degree completion and beyond.
