It is a great joy to see our alumni working (and winning) for Kalitta Motorsports. Doug Kalitta and the Mac Tools Top Fuel dragster team (with OTC High Performance & Racing alums Tyler Peters and Andrew Fichter) did what they had to do at World Wide Technology Raceway, Madison, Ill., winning the NHRA Midwest Nationals for the fourth time and defeating their closest rival Steve Torrence in the final. Kalitta entered race day as the No. 5 qualifier but he knew the chance to go rounds was of utmost importance. The win made Kalitta the second winningest Top Fuel driver at World Wide Technology with four wins. His previous three wins came in 2004, 2003 and 2001. OTC is proud of our alumni working across the three professional race teams that make up the Kalitta racing family.

High Performance & Racing graduate Louis Medick was the first high performance graduate to earn ASE Master Certification status. He graduated earning a 4.0 in his academic classes as well being voted by his classmates to earn the OTC Citizenship Award. His hard work and technical ability earned his a spot within the Kalitta Motorsport racing group. Medick is one of a dozen high performance graduates to find his way onto a Kalitta race team. He has already expericed some great races and is looking forward to a long career within the Kalitta race family.
