Ohio Technical College congratulates Timothy LaFlamme from our Diesel Equipment training program, DT-231 as the June Student of the Month.
Tim is a 2013 graduate of Fort LaBoeuf High School, Waterford, Pennsylvania. Tim is the second student in DT-231 to earn student of the month honors. He arrived at OTC with very little knowledge of diesel, “I’d say it was more like backyard training.”
He so far has perfect attendance, never once coming in late or leaving early. He also maintains a 93.26% GPA. Tim is lucky in that he can be home in under two hours, and takes advantage of that each weekend. It’s not all fun and games for him, as he works Friday’s and Saturday’s at Russell Standard, in Waterford as a preventative maintenance technician on heavy equipment vehicles. Tim says his hardest module to date has been electrical. His most enjoyable module has been HVAC, where he earned his MACS certification.
Tim plans on taking power generator training after graduation. He will complete his diesel training in February 2015, and start generator training in June.
Congratulations Tim!!
