We pride ourselves on our 600,000 square-foot campus that allows our students to go seamlessly from the classroom to the shop, providing real-world experience in a diverse array of programs ranging from Diesel Technology to Classic Car Restoration, allowing our students to get their hands dirty as they earn their diploma or applied associate degree. In most cases, we limit our classes sizes to no more than 25 students per instructor, keeping the focus on learning.
Your education doesn’t stop in the classroom, either. In a few short steps, you’re in one of our unique and fully-equipped shops, with instructors working alongside you to deliver the hands-on instruction that you need to truly understand the material. Our shops are large enough to allow you to work on actual automobiles; you won’t find any clip cars, half-vehicles or mock-ups here!
Each shop provides the tools and equipment that you’ll need to master the tasks included in your comprehensive curriculum. Your program cost includes all of the tools you will needed to perform the many hands-on tasks included in each training module, and to take with you after graduation. Students also have the opportunity to purchase specialized tools and equipment from our on-site MATCO Tool Store at up to 52% off retail, and OTC provides you with a tool voucher (amount dependent on program) to help cover this expense.
We offer multiple financial aid programs to all students who qualify, including a Pell and other grants along with various scholarships, to help make our training more affordable. Ohio Technical College is a Military Friendly School ® and can help reserve and former service members access various assistance, including the Montgomery GI Bill®.
Upon graduation, consider our advanced training programs such as BMW STEP or our renowned Power Generation Technology program, which are so well-regarded that students’ tuition costs are regularly covered by the companies who will employ the student after program completion. Program sponsors in exchange for the students you attain your Associate Degree, you can proceed with any of our partner colleges to pursue your bachelor’s degree.
