Richard Martin

Richard Martin OTC alumni Richard Martin is from Chagrin Falls, OH. He made Honor Roll three times during his 18-months of Automotive training at OTC. Like many other students who excel in our Automotive and Auto-Diesel programs, Martin was offered the opportunity to extend his training in OTC’s BMW STEP program. Martin had a small introduction to the BMW product when he took the Fast Track option within his Automotive program. Martin knew then, that STEP was his next educational and career move. Many students who enroll in Automotive or Auto-Diesel have their ultimate goal set for STEP training from day one. They know the minimum requirements to qualify and make sure to attend class every day, score high on their tests and complete all shop tasks. Working outside of the classroom is a huge benefit to being successful for both Automotive and STEP training graduates. If graduates are already familiar with shop protocol learning a slightly different shop routine is quicker and easier to adapt to than starting from scratch. Martin is with a strong group of technicians at Kelly BMW servicing a high volume of cars per day. Martin says nothing intimidates him as far as the model of vehicle that comes into his bay. New or old, expensive or slightly less expensive, his job is to troubleshoot and repair efficiently.
