OTC’S August 2015 Student of the Month- William Boesken, Jr
OTC congratulates our newest Student of the Month, William Boesken, Jr. Boesken is a 2013 graduate of Midview High School, Elyria, Ohio. He is currently on track to graduate from OTC’s Complete Automotive program on September 25th at the top of the class. His current GPA is 3.75% and is one of two students who will receive his Associates Degree. Just a quick look at Boesken’s uniform shirt you can see he has made OTC’s Honor Roll five times and has maintained Perfect Attendance for 18 months. Not an easy feat as he is working 30 hours a week as an automotive technician at Mike Bass Ford in Elyria. He says he got the job at the dealership after they were here on campus at a career fair last May. Boesken says his hardest training module to date has been Engine Performance, “There is so much to learn and 12 weeks is a short amount of time to absorb it all.” He has always enjoyed working on cars from a young age, and progressing to a professional level of career training seemed like the logical step after high school. He currently has no ASE Certifications, however Mike Bass Ford has sent him to certify on several Ford specific certification classes. After graduation Boseken plans on staying in the area and working full-time at Mike Bass Ford.
