Ohio Technical College Announces July 2019 Student of the Month
OTC has a new Student of the Month! Navy veteran, John Lutsch PT-80, was selected from our PowerSport Institute program as the person who knows what it takes to be successful. “Don’t wait 6-month to a year before you decide to get serious. You need to be 100% committed from day-one.” Lutsch has taken his own advice and has made Honor Roll 6 times, earning 90% or higher on test scored and lab performance, and he has only missed a handful of days due to the flu. Lutsch admits there are “a lot of details in small packages” when referencing motorcycles and powersport equipment. “Just because it isn’t the size of an SUV doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of sophisticated technology on board.” Lutsch is retired after 21-years in the Navy, living most of his life in California. He says, “I love Ohio,” and plans on staying in the area after graduation. As a matter of fact, he starts a second OTC program in Classic Car Restoration the Monday after his Friday, September 27th graduation ceremony. Lutsch encourages current and future students to make their instructor their friends. “These guys are not the enemy. They have so much knowledge and will bend over backwards to help you understand the material.”
