Congratulations to Gerry Horst, OTC’s FIRST instructor of the Month! Horst received the most nominations, along with many great comments from current students on his ability to motivate, teach and inspire students to learn and excel as a technician. Horst has 35-years of industry experience and has been an instructor at OTC since 1987. He is ASE Master Certified in Heavy Duty Diesel and EGGSA Certified, and he was instrumental in the development of our widely popular power generator program. He currently teaches the first or second crucial modules – Diesel Engines I, to incoming students. He sets the tone and expectations for the next 17 months through encouragement and positive reinforcement. Horst is the first to receive this recognition, however OTC is grateful to have so many talented instructors backed by years of experience.
