Kaitlyn Prater is awarded Ohio Technical College's Student of Month for February 2017. Kaitlyn Prater is an automotive student. Prater has been in the spotlight lately as the first female and only the 5th student to make it in the All 100% Club the electrical department started eight years ago to help encourage students to master the electrical module. Prater started her OTC training in September and in five months has already captured the coveted Student of the Month honor due to her enthusiasm and passion for the industry in which she is in training. Her record card is filled with positive comments from her instructors who praise her attitude and eagerness to learn. She is on campus almost every Friday either in the Automotive department or shadowing our BMW STEP students. She is eager to learn and test herself and doesn’t back down from a challenge. Prater comes to OTC from the Medina County Career Center, Medina, OH and is also a Skills USA National scholarship winner. She helped proctor the regional Skills USA competition at OTC this year for the Automotive department. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Prater for her accomplishment and OTC’s first 2017 female student of the month.
