Ohio Technical College Announces August 2019 Student of the Month

2018 graduate of Southwood High School & Hartland Career Center, Wabash, Indiana has been named OTC’s August 2019 Student of the Month!! Rod & Custom student, Lorynn Hunt, currently has Perfect Attendance and her professionalism grades have been 100% or higher since she started her training a year ago. Hunt is a Student Leader as well as a campus tour guide. She is often times the first person future students meet who are enrolled in the Rod & Custom Program. Lorynn took two years of automotive repair in high school, so when she enrolled in OTC’s Rod & Custom program, there were going to be some training modules unfamiliar to her. To her surprise, she has excelled in upholstery and found body work to be more challenging than she anticipated, but says, “All of them have been great!”. Hunt doesn’t know the word “quit” and powers through all of her training modules with a positive attitude. Her advice to future students is, “Don’t come here to impress anyone. This type of training is an investment in yourself. Do your best.” Hunt hopes to have her own shop in the future. Congratulations, Lorynn!
