Congratulations to Joshua Sonneson as he was named the July 2015 OTC Student of the Month!

Being a full-time college student is not easy. Add on a full-time job, a father of three, with another one on the way, and the odds against you being successful dramatically decrease. That is not the case with OTC’s current Student of the Month. Joshua Sonneson DT-236 has been nominated twice before for this honor and today walked away with the prize. His overwhelming positive attitude, excellent attendance – despite a one hour commute to school each day, and good grades- maintains a 91.73% GPA, made him the clear winner. Sonneson is a US Army veteran having served his country from 2010-2014. He learned about OTC during his exit from the military. Diesel was a natural choice for him as he grew up on a farm and hopes to return to it one day and be able to fix his own equipment. Currently Sonneson is working full-time for Star Leasing where he is a mobile trailer technician. As the Student of the Month, Sonneson receives $50 in cash, $50 bookstore voucher, $100 Matco Tools certificate, an OTC jacket and a recognition plaque.
