Jason Zweifel

Jason ZweifelIt’s true, you never know who you are talking to. In making the rounds at OTC’s career fair we found another OTC alum. Jason Zweifel is currently the Shop Foreman at BMW of Akron. He is a graduate of OTC’s Automotive program and then of our BMW Fasttrack, which back in 2000 pre-dates the BMW STEP program at Ohio Technical College. He is a 1999 graduate of Highland High School, Medina, OH. When he told his high school guidance counselor he ‘wanted to work on cars’ as a career, the response he got was, ”there is no money in automotive repair.” Good thing Zweifel was not deterred and found his way to OTC. He is now enjoying nearly 20 years working with BMW. After he graduated from OTC, he relocated to Florida and worked for BMW while receiving excellent on-going training. He even worked for Porsche before realizing his home was in Ohio. Automotive technicians and especially specialized, luxury automotive technicians are in high demand and Zweifel is looking to add to BMW of Akron’s already impressive number of OTC/BMW STEP alumni, currently at 10 graduates.
