Daimler Truck North America, the parent company of Freightliner and Western Star, differentiates itself in several ways. First, DTNA has combined market share in class 8 truck sales in excess of 40%. Also, they have class 6/7 market share in excess of 30%. This allows DTNA to scale production allowing for increased research and development spending leading to better products. Second, DTNA offers an Elite Support group of dealers. Elite Support is a commitment by certified individual dealers to align itself around the needs of the customer. This allows for an enhanced customer experience centered on support, and Uptime. Third, DTNA focuses on Real Cost of Ownership and Uptime. Our current objective and goal as a dealer network is to have service customer units turned around in three days. These three objectives are what loosely define the differentiating factors for Freightliner and Western Star product.
