The primary goal of the Financial Aid Office is to assist students whom, without financial aid, might not be able to attend college. One of our philosophies is that finances should NOT be a deterrent in pursuing one’s lifelong goals of a higher education. Ohio Technical College has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance to participate in all federal financial aid programs which include Grants, Student Loans and Parent Loans.
As an accredited institution, student financial aid is available to OTC students who qualify. There are various federal student aid programs, including:
Step 1: Applying for Aid – In order to determine whether you qualify to receive student financial aid, start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may use the FAFSA website to complete and submit your financial aid application electronically. We will verify the details on your FAFSA and let you know if any additional information is needed from you to complete the processing. Start the FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION Process now!
Step 2: Your Award Package – After your FAFSA is submitted and your information is verified, you will receive a personalized Award Package from the Ohio Technical College’s Financial Aid office detailing the amount of aid you are eligible to receive and a detailed payment schedule with multiple options to cover any remaining tuition balance, if applicable.. All of the documents required to accept your financial aid are included in your personal Award Package
Step 3: Addressing a Tuition Balance Not Covered by Financial Aid
Grants are monies awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. This money is applied to the student’s educational expenses and does not need to be repaid. At the time of this catalog’s publication, Ohio Technical College participates in the grant programs listed below. But because grant programs are added and discontinued from time to time, be sure to check with your Financial Aid representative about available grants.
