Two Students from OTC Work with NHRA Teams At Norwalk Race
Ohio Tech's High Performance and Racing training program has selected two students as honorary crew members during the NHRA Nationals at Summit Raceway Park July 3-6th.
Dustin Weiser is the winner from HP-10 and Evan Baugh from HP-11. Steve McBride, Director of the High Performance & Racing program says the selection process is always tight each year. “This is our third year sending students to shadow for both the Matco Tools and Kalitta Motorsports race teams. We’ve had such positive feedback from both teams, I want to make sure I send those students who are the most passionate about racing.”
OTC’s High performance program currently has 5 graduates working for the NHRA, with a sixth being an OTC graduate from our Auto Diesel training program. Dustin will be a crew member for Kalitta Motorsports and Evan will be a crew member for Antron Brown and the DSR Matco Tools team.
