OTC Automotive Program Student wins Student of the Month
Ohio Technical College congratulates Student of the Month Latoya Perry from AT 219. She is the first female of 2014 to be selected as student of the month, and has broken the winning streak of both the Collision Repair training and Diesel training programs of having the most students of the month this year.
Perry is a lifelong Clevelander, having graduated from Max Hayes in 2004. She took precision machining while in high school and worked for a little while in the industry before realizing that it wasn’t for her. She then turned her eye toward finding an automotive training school in Ohio. That is where she found Ohio Tech.
Perry now has three young children and manages the demands of being a full-time student and full-time mom with ease. Perry is a strong, positive influence in her class, often encouraging other students to push themselves to become better technicians and better people. Recently she convinced her entire automotive training class to donate blood. “Our class was the only one who got a pizza lunch for our effort!”
Perry will graduate in June of 2015 and plans to stay in the Cleveland area. Congratulations to Perry.
